1. Jackie Robinson

•  4-sport athlete in college and first UCLA athlete to letter in four sports.

•  In 1948, Jackie was chosen from the Negro League as the man whose athletic talents and strength of character would break the great racial barrier in professional sports.

•  Inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1962, his first year of eligibility, becoming the first African-American so honored.
