REPORT OF THE

POSTSEASON FOOTBALL LICENSING SUBCOMMITTEE

INFORMATIONAL ITEMS.

1. Football Bowl Association Report. The subcommittee received a report from the Football Bowl Association (FBA). The FBA requested that the subcommittee consider providing definitive policies for “open bowl” selection. They also asked for consideration of issues related to stadium alcohol sales at bowl games. The subcommittee will discuss these issues and provide a response to the FBA.

2. Letter of Credit Criteria. The subcommittee is considering revised criteria for the Letter of Credit requirements. The subcommittee will begin working on language to send to the FBA and the bowls.

3. Officials Background Checks. The subcommittee supported the exploration of ways to enhance the background checks that are performed on officials working postseason bowl games.
